The New Forest Otter, Owl & Wildlife Conservation Park
The New Forest Otter, Owl and Wildlife Conservation Park is mainly an outdoor attraction, set in 25 acres of ancient woodland, located just off the A35 between Lyndhurst and Southampton. Follow the brown road signs onto Deerleap Lane and past the Longdown Activity Farm. The entrance is just over 1 mile down this road, on the left hand side.
The park houses many animal enclosures and pens, on circular woodland nature trails, where you will experience animals such as otters, foxes, deer, badgers, wild boar, polecats, wallabies, various species of owl and many other animals. The indoor animal accommodation is a great place to view the sleeping badgers, red foxes and otters swimming underwater.
Keeper Talks are held throughout the day and various animals are fed by the park keepers at scheduled feeding times (check the times with the park staff to ensure you don't miss them).
Also available on-site is a tearoom/cafe, gift shop, toilet facilities and a large car park located inside the main entrance gates.
The New Forest Otter, Owl and Wildlife Conservation Park is a very enjoyable outing for the whole family. Open all year round. Summer 10am to 5.30pm (last admission 4.30pm) and winter 10am to dusk.
