Braemore House is an amazing Elizabethan Manor House (located off the A338 just north of Fordingbridge), built in 1583 and was originally owned by the Dodington family. Sir Edward Hulse purchased Braemore House in the 18th century and it's still owned and lived in by the Hulse family today. Inside the museum visitors are able to see what village life would have been like many years ago, by viewing replica buildings, such as the village shop and the farm workers cottage. The museum is also home to a fine collection of vintage steam-powered farm vehicles and machinery. Also within the grounds is a beautiful Saxon Church. The house and museum are open Tues-Thurs, Saturdays, Sundays & bank holidays, May-September (Tues & Sun during April). House 2pm-5.30pm, Museum 1pm-5.30pm.
