Setley Ridge Vineyard
Longdown Activity Farm
The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum
The Setley Ridge Vineyard is a family run, English, wine making business located 1 mile south of Brockenhurst on the A337, heading towards Lymington. Wine is produced from the grapes grown at the Setley Ridge Vineyard and bottled on-site. Free wine tastings and sales are available from the wine and farm shop, which is open seven days a week, between 10am and 5pm. The shop also stocks a good range of other local, New Forest produce. Vineyard tours are available, enabling visitors to see the growing, production and bottling processes of wine making at the Setley Ridge Vineyard.
Longdown Activity Farm is loacted just off the A35 between Southampton and Lyndhurst (follow the brown road signs onto Deerleap Lane, just outside of Ashurst). This family run business has several indoor and outdoor play areas, tractor rides (weather permitting) and the farm encourages children to handle and help feed the animals at various times of the day. A farm shop, gift shop, tearoom and picnic areas are also available on-site. Longdown Activity Farm is a great place to visit, for a family outing.
The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is located on the B3055 at Bashley Cross, New Milton (follow the brown signs from the A35 between Lyndhurst and Christchurch). The Museum is home to over 300 rare and classic, fully-restored motorcycles displayed throughout five galleries. The museum also houses motorcycle related memorabilia, a collection of petrol pumps and several cabinets containing the trophies, won by Sammy during his impressive racing career. Also on-site are tearooms, a childrens play area, shops, animals and two aviaries containing many birds.
