The grave of Alice Liddell (Alice Hargreaves), who was the inspiration for Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', can be found in the Churchyard of St. Michael & All Angels Church, located at the top of Lyndhurst High Street.

At the bottom of Lyndhurst High Street, turn right into Bolton's Bench car park. Here you will see a very famous New Forest Landmark. Sat on top of a small hill, under the canopy of a yew tree, is Bolton's Bench. This circular bench is named after the Duke of Bolton, who held the office of Master Keeper of Burley Baliwick in the 18th Century.
